GUIDELINES FOR THE RECEPTION OF HOLY COMMUNION
At this point in the Sacred Liturgy, Catholics in a state of grace who have fasted
for one hour (except for water and medication) begin coming forward to receive Holy
communion. For Catholics, the reception of Holy Communion is an outward sign of
their unity in the Catholic faith. Please remember that the Sacred Host must be
consumed immediately in front of the minister. At present, we do not have intercommunion
with other Christian Churches. However, we are very grateful for your presence here
and suggest that those members of other Christian communities use this time for
quiet prayer, especially for Christian unity.
